Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi genetik sapi Madura murni di empat Kabupaten di Madura (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep). Materi yang digunakan adalah 244 ekor sapi Madura umur 7 hari dan 5 bulan. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam rancangan acak lengkap pola searah dengan mengaplikasi software GENSTAT. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh nyata pada BB dan ukuran tubuh sapi Madura murni umur 7 hari dan 5 Bulan. Rataan BB umur 7 hari tidak berbeda nyata di empat kabupaten, sedangkan lingkar dada (LD), panjang badan (PB) dan tinggi gumba (TG) berbeda nyata. Rataan BB, LD dan TG umur 5 bulan di empat kabupaten tidak berbeda nyata, sedangkan PB berbeda nyata. BB umur 5 bulan adalah 70,67 ± 9,44; 74,61 ± 7,98; 71,71 ± 3,67; 74,94 ± 12,69 kg, masing-masing untuk kabupaten Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep. Korelasi BB dengan LD sapi Madura umur 5 bulan mempunyai nilai tertinggi yaitu sebesar 0,685. BB (Y) sapi Madura umur 5 bulan dapat diprediksi berdasarkan LD (X) dengan rumus persamaan garis regresi linier sederhana: Y = 18,92 + 0,551 X. Peta potensi penyediaan pejantan dan intensitas penggunaan pejantan untuk mengawini induk sapi Madura di masing-masing kecamatan di setiap kabupaten sangat bervariasi.

Map of Genetics Potency of pure Madura Cattle at Four Districts in Madura
Abstract
Research was conducted to identify genetic potency of pure Madura cattle in four districs of Madura (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep). Materials used were 244 Madura cattles consisted of 7 days and 5 months of age. Data were analyzed using ANOVA one way classification applying software GENSTAT. Results showed that sex has no significant effect on body weight (BW) and vital statistics of Madura cattles at 7 days and 5 months of age. Mean of BW at 7 days of age were not significantly different between districs, whereas chest girth (CG), body lenght (BL), and body height (BH) were significantly different. BW, CG, and BH at age of 5 month in four districts were not significantly different, whereas BL was significantly different. BW at 5 months of age were 70.67 ± 9.44; 74.61 ± 7.98; 71.71 ± 3.67; 74.94 ± 12.69 kg, for Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep, respectively. Correlation between BW and CG at 5 months of age showed the highest value of 0.685. BW (Y) at 5 months of age could be estimated based on CG (X) using simple linear regression equation: Y = 18,92 + 0,551 X. Male availability and the intensity of sire to serve dam at each region in every district were varried.
