EVALUASI GENETIK PEJANTAN BOER BERDASARKAN PERFORMANS HASIL PERSILANGANNYA DENGAN KAMBING LOKAL
Abstract

Boer’s Genetic Evaluation based on Performance of its Crosses with Local Goat
ABSTRACT
Research was conducted to evaluate genetic potency of Boer sire based on performance of its crosses with local goat. Materials used were 48 males and 31 females of crossbred Boer with local goat. Sire of Boer consisted of 4 different lines (DM, PK, TZ, TY). Data on birth weight (BW) and weaning weight (WW) were analyzed using software of Genstat. BW of crossbred Boer with local goat was 2,5380,48 kg for male and 2,1870,56 kg for female, WW was 12,63  3,76 kg for male and 9,81 2,81 kg female. The highest BW (2,62 kg) was resulted by sire PK and The highest WW was resulted by sire TZ (13,44 kg).
