SUPLEMENTASI FETAL BOVINE SERUM (FBS) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN IN VITRO SEL FOLIKEL KAMBING PE
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaansuplementasi FBS dengan berbagai konsentrasi pada medium kultur Tissue Culture
Medium-199 (TCM-199) dengan variasi waktu inkubasi terhadap kompetensi
pertumbuhan folikel kambing PE. Materi Penelitian adalah folikel kambing yang
diperoleh melalui isolasi ovarium kambing, TCM-199 dan FBS. Analisa data
menggunakan uji t berpasangan dengan menggunakan 3 perlakuan suplementasi FBS
(0%, 0,1% dan 1%) dan inkubasi selama 6 hari. Folikel yang digunakan dalam kultur
dikelompokkan menjadi 2 ukuran yaitu besar (4mm) dan kecil (2-<4mm). Variabel
pengamatan yang digunakan adalah pertumbuhan folikel. Pengamatan dilakukan pada
hari ke 0 dan hari ke 6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi FBS pada
kultur folikel secara IVG memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan
folikel, yaitu pada folikel besar dengan suplementasi FBS 1% dan folikel kecil dengan
suplementasi FBS 0,1%.

FETAL BOVINE SERUM (FBS) SUPPLEMENTATION WITH
INCUBATION TIME VARIATION TO FOLLICLE GROWTH COMPETENCE
OF PERANAKAN ETAWAH (PE) GOAT
ABSTRACT
The aims of this research was to know the effect of FBS supplements usage
with any concentration of Tissue Culture Medium-199 (TCM-199) culture medium
with incubation time variation to follicle growth competence of Peranakan Etawah
(PE) goat. The material of this research were goat follicle, TCM-199 and FBS. The
method of this research use t test which used 3 treatment with incubation 6 days. The
follicle that used in culture were classified into 2 groups: large (>4mm) and small (2-
<4mm). The observation variable were used follicle growth. The result of this research
are showed that FBS supplements in follicle culture according to IVG gave the
significant different into follicle growth (P<0,05) that is large follicle with 1% FBS
supplements and small follicle with 0,1% FBS supplements. It can be concluded that
FBS supplements and length of culture in IVG follicle had the significant influence
on the growth of follicles.
