PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MINYAK KELAPA DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP KONSUMSI PAKAN, PENINGKATAN BOBOT BADAN, KONVERSI PAKAN DAN KARKAS BROILER PERIODE FINISHER
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lapang Sumber sekar Fakultas
Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya di Desa sumber Sekar Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten
Malang.
Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya Malang.
karkas broiler periode finisher.
strain Lohman umur 21 hari.

ABSTRACT
This study was carried out at the field laboratory Sumber Sekar, Faculty of
Animal Husbandry, Brawijaya University at Sumber Sekar village, Dau subdistrict,
Malang District. Analysis ration which used in this study was carried out at laboratory
of animal Nutrition Faculty of animal Husbandry, Brawijaya University, Malang.
The objectife of this study is to find out the effect of using coconut oil in ration
towards feed consumption, body weight gain, feed convertion and carcass weight
broiler of finisher period. The result of this study was hope as information about using
coconut oil in ration to broiler of finisher period.
The material used in this study were 100 broiler male of Lohmann strain 21th
old. The numbre house of litter system were used 20 unit and the measurement of
length 70 cm, width 70 cm and the hight 60 cm. The method of this study was
randomized completely design. The treatment were ration without using coconut oil
(R0), ration with coconut oil 1% (R1), ration with coconut oil 2% (R2) and ration with
coconut oil 3% (R3). Each treatment was replicated five times and each replication
there were five broiler. The ration and drinking were given ad libitum. The variable
measured weere feed consumption, body weight gain, feed confertion and carcass
weight. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and followed by least
significant differece.
The result sowed using coconut oil in ration give significant effect (P<0,05)
toward body weight gain and carcass weight and give highly significant effect
(P<0,01) towards feed consumption and feed convertion. It was suggested in making
ration broiler of finisher period can use coconut oil 3% because it can gain fine
convertion.
Key words: cocunut oil, broiler
