PRODUKTIVITAS INDUK KERBAU RAWA (Bubalus bubalis) DITINJAU ASPEK KINERJA REPRODUKSI DAN UKURAN TUBUH DI KECAMATAN TEMPURSARI KABUPATEN LUMAJANG
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai produktivitas induk kerbau rawa di Kecamatan Tempursari Kabupaten Lumajang, ditinjau dari aspek kinerja reproduksi dan ukuran tubuhnya. Metode penelitian yaitu studi kasus di Kecamatan Tempursari Kabupaten Lumajang. Materi penelitian 88 ekor induk kerbau rawa milik 88 peternak kerbau sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian kinerja reproduksi induk kerbau rawa di Kecamatan Tempursari yaitu; umur pertama kali kawin 31,55±3,44 bulan, umur pertama kali beranak 43,57±3,44 bulan, lama bunting 10,20±0,80 bulan, jarak beranak 17,51±2,02 bulan, umur induk kerbau 102,99±35,02 bulan, dan ER 75,41±5,04%. Ukuran tubuh induk kerbau rawa yaitu; Tinggi Pundak 128,54±3,36 cm, Dalam Dada 77,80±2,53 cm, Lingkar Dada 195,75±2,99 cm, Panjang Badan 134,65±6,05 cm, Tinggi Pinggul 130,56±3,33 cm dan BB 406,82±9,97 kg. Nilai ER dan BB di atas dan di bawah 200 m dpl berbeda nyata (P<0,05), dengan wilayah di bawah 200 m dpl. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa produktivitas induk kerbau rawa di Kecamatan Tempursari Kabupaten Lumajang adalah cukup baik, ditinjau dari aspek kinerja reproduksi dan ukuran tubuh, khususnya pada Desa Bulurejo dan Tegalrejo.Kata kunci : Produktivitas, Induk Kerbau Rawa, Tempursari, Lumajang
THE PRODUCTIVITY OF FEMALE SWAMP BUFFALOES (Bubalus bubalis
carabanesis) IN TERMS OF REPRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCE AND BODY
MEASUREMENTS AT TEMPURSARI SUBDISTRICT LUMAJANG REGENCY
ABSTRACT
The objectives of the study was to identify the existence, productivity, reproductive performances and its relation on the reproductive efficiency, body measurements and weight of female buffalo at Tempursari Subdistrict, Lumajang Regency. Case study method was applied to collect all of information required at Tempursari Subdistrict, Lumajang Regency. The results showed that reproduction efficiency (RE) was 75,14 ± 5.04%, first mating age 31,55 ± 3.44 months, age of first birth 43,57 ± 3,44 months, gestation period 10,20 ± 0,80 months, calving interval 17,51 ± 2,02 months, age of mother buffalo 102,99 ± 35,02 months. Body measurements and weight of female buffaloes were withers height 128,54 ± 3,36 cm, chest depth 77,80 ± 2,53 cm, heart girth 195,75 ± 2,99 cm, body length 134,65 ± 6,05 cm, rump height 130,56 ± 3,33 cm and body weight of 406,82 ± 9,97 kg .Concluded that the productivity of female swamp buffaloes in the Subdistrict Tempursari Lumajang Regency is good, reviewed of reproductive performance and body measurements especially at Bulurejo and Tegalrejo Village.
