PENGARUH PEMBERIAN FEED SUPPLEMENT VITERNA PADA AIR MINUM TERHADAP PENAMPILAN AYAM PEDAGING

Pemberian feed supplement Viterna melalui air minum, dan dilakukan mulai hari ke 1 sampai hari ke 35. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah percobaan lapangan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 4 perlakuan dan masing–masing perlakuan diulang 6 kali, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan, setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penambahan Viterna dalam air minum ternak dengan jumlah sebagai berikut :1) P0 : air minum tanpa Viterna, 2) P1: air minum+0,1% Viterna/liter air, 3) P2: air minum+0,2% Viterna/liter air, 4) P3 : air minum+0,3% Viterna/liter air. Variabel pengamatan meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan dan bobot badan akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Viterna dalam air minum tidak mempengaruhi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan dan bobot badan akhir, dengan penambahan Viterna sebanyak 2 cc/liter air minum ternak menurunkan nilai konversi pakan dan level pemberian terbaik.
