Abstract

ABSTRAK

 

Suatu penelitian untuk mengetahui penggunaan kuning telur itik sebagai pengencer semen kambing telah dilakukan. Diharapkan akan dapat memberikan informasi tentang kemungkinan penggunaan kuning telur itik dalam  pengencer semen kambing Boer.

Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode percobaan dengan sampel semen kambing Boer. Semen diencerkan dengan menggunakan tris aminomethan kuning telur, masing-masing dengan konsentrasi kuning telur itik 0, 10, 20 dan 30% dengan pengamatan  banyak 20 kali. Pengamatan meliputi motilitas, viablitas, abnormalitas. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis ragam menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap.

Disimpulkan bahwa  ternyata kuning telur itik mampu digunakan sebagai bahan pengencer semen cair kambing Boer dengan konsentrasi terbaik 30 persen.

UTILITY EGG DUCK FOR BUCK SEMEN DILLUTER

 

ABSTRACT

 

The research with aim to study using egg yolk duck for semen goat dilluter was carry out. It was expected can predict optimum dose of egg yolk duck for maintaining cooling semen quality of Boer Goat.

Research was conducted by experiment method, with Boer goat  semen sample. Semen diluted with egg yolk tris amino methan  use  dose 0, 10, 20 and 30 %, with 20 times observation. Variable observed is sperm motility, viability, abnormality before freezing. The obtained data analyzed with analysis of variance.         It was concluded  that sperm motility 20-30%  egg yolk is good concentration for artificial insemination with cooling semen.
