PENGARUH LEVEL PEMBERIAN KIO3 [GARAM BERJODIUM] TERHADAP AVERAGE DAILY OF GAIN PADA SAPI AUSTRALIAN BRAHMAN CROSS
Abstract
Materi penelitian menggunakan 12 ekor Australian Brahman Cross jantanumur 1-1,5 tahun [PI0 – PI1] berat badan rata-rata 340,60±14,04 kg, kemudian
diacak kemedia percobaan. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Randomized
Block Design 4x3 dengan treatment A= 80% Elephant grass+20% rice straw; B=
80% Elephant grass+20% rice straw+50 gram garam berjodium [KIO3]; C=80%
Elephant grass + 20% rice straw+100 gram garam berjodium dan D=80%
Elephant grass+20% rice straw+150 gram garam berjodium. Dari hasil penelitian
deketahui bahwa tingkat level pemberian garam berjodium tidak berpengaruh
nyata [P0,05] terhadap average daily of gain dan konsumsi BK/hari pada semua
treatment.Average daily of gain kelompok A= 0,71±0,11 kg; B= 0,82±0,03 kg;
C= 0,70±0,20 dan D= 0,72±0,08 kg. Sedangkan rata-rata konsumsi BK/hr pada
perlakuan A=10,34±0,08 kg; B=10,34±0,20 kg; C= 10,31±0,12 kg dan D =
10,45±0,30 kg. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penambahan tingkat level
garam Jodium sampai pada tingkat 150 gr dalam ransum belum berpengaruh
terhadap peningkatan Average daily of gain maupun konsumsi BK.

The influence of KIO3 [Iodinated Salt] intake level to average daily Gain of
Australian Brahman Cross
Abstract
The research employed 12 males Australian Brahman Cross age 2 [PI0 –
PI1] with average daily gain of 340,60±14.04 kg and randomly placed into the
media, Randomized Block Design 4x3 is used with treatment A= 80% Elephant
grass+20% Elephant grass+20% rice straw+100 gram Iodinated Salt [KIO3] and
D=80% Elephant grass+20% rice straw+150 gram Iodinated Salt. The result
shows the level of iodinated salt intake gives no significance influence [P0.05] to
average daily gain and BK/day consumption on all treatments. Average daily gain
of group A= 0.71±0.11 kg; B = 0.82±0.03 kg; C= 0.70±0.20 and D= 0.72±0.08
kg. Whilst the average consumption of dry matter per day on treatment
A=10.34±0.08 kg; B= 10.34±0.20 kg; C=10.31±0.12 kg and D= 10.45±0.30 kg.
The result indicates the increase on iodinated salt intake level up to 150 gram infeed has no significance influence to the increase of average daily gain and dry
matter consumption.
